Dream job: Putting mobile users in the picture

11.06.2012 Advertising : Artisan : Phone

US – London-based art and design practice Artisan has teamed up with d3 Technologies to create an interactive on-screen experience for US telecoms company Sprint called The Dream.

Designed to encourage cinema-goers to turn off their mobile phones, a dream sequence prompts viewers to text ‘dream’ to 60602 before switching off their phone. When they turn it back on, users are presented with a personalised visual of the information that the phone processed while it was ‘asleep’.

‘Phones have a lot of material to dream about,’ says d3 Technologies project manager Rosie Mitchell. ‘Does your phone dream? That is a compelling question. We’re so used to having our entire lives on our phones and they do so much more than just call or text – photos, videos, calendars and memories are all stored on your phone.’

This project is in line with our New Sublimity macrotrend. Find out how to implement this trend into your brand strategy by reading our New Sublimity Toolkit.
