Milan – Connecting patronage and craftsmanship with contemporary design and modern technology, an exhibition deep in Zona Tortona is helping to rejuvenate luxury heritage. The ‘Osmosis’ exhibition by Arik Levy for Swarovski takes the shape of the chaton – the classic diamond cut that has long been used by the jewellery brand – and transforms it into larger-than-life clusters of giant shapes, all in a bid to celebrate the original craftsmanship involved.
Offering visitors an opportunity to cut their own diamonds, so to speak, one interactive installation invites passers-by to create varying sounds and alter the contours of a laser-beam diamond shape. Click here to follow LS:N Global editor Martin Raymond as he explores this live media exhibit.
