London – UK newspaper The Guardian has worked with video company Condition One to create an immersive travel guide video app for the iPad.
The newspaper’s first video for the app is a guide of Tokyo that gives users the impression of walking through the city. People navigate the walk-through city tour by tilting or panning their iPad 180 degrees to see the streets from different angles.
The app is a compelling experiment by the newspaper to provide visual insight into new destinations.
