Brand power: Gin projection shows imagination

London – On Wednesday LS:N Global attended Bombay Sapphire’s Project Your Imagination event on the River Thames.

The gin brand teamed up with live events company Drive Productions to project a 3D display onto the wall of Battersea power station as guests sailed past on a 21st-century yacht.

The projection was part of Bombay Sapphire’s Infused With Imagination campaign, which centres on creativity and the gin’s use of botanicals. A competition was held through Facebook challenging people to come up with an idea for the projection. The winning concept was of a Rubik’s cube.

‘A projection like this can have a real impact on a brand’s message, in that it is such a large scale. But size isn’t enough, the design has to be in keeping with the message,’ says Jim Hudson, production director at Drive Productions. ‘We followed the Infused With Imagination idea and re-animated the disused power station.’
