Miami – German industrial designer Konstantin Grcic has won the Designer of the Year Award at Design Miami/ 2010 for his work including curating the design exhibition at the Serpentine Gallery in London earlier this year.
Grcic has created an installation for this year’s show. His piece Netscape is presented in an outdoor area where visitors will be able to interact with it. The six-point star-shaped structure holds hanging chairs made from netting. They rock slightly when visitors sit down and is a space where ‘guests can engage with one another before entering or leaving the fair,’ according to Design Miami/.
