Berlin – Inspired by Conviviality Culture, a designer is encouraging participation and play with her makeshift seating range.
The Working Title collection by Johanna Dehio includes the Hockerbank stool that is made into a bench using a plank and corresponding cut-outs. Similarly, a round table can be extended for larger gatherings. The range explores ‘perfection versus imperfection, participation and play in the design of objects we encounter every day,’ according to the designer. In a similar fashion, pale wooden planks slot into red, blue and yellow wire frame stools to create the flexible Drahtbank bench.
As LS:N Global explores in our Flexthetics Inspire, increasing pressure on space and resources means consumers are seeking products and services that offer compact, mobile and flexible solutions.
