Sunnyvale, US – A new phone accessory could enable people to control their mobile phone with the power of thought. The PLX XWave headset can read the wearer’s brainwaves, and could be used to convert these into signals that control functions on a mobile phone.
At present, the headset can only be used with the free XWave iPhone game in which the wearer has to concentrate to make a ball on a screen rise in the air. If concentration is broken, the ball falls back down.
Although the headset is still limited in function it has great potential. What if the technology were to be integrated into a Bluetooth head? Could we answer our phone simply by thinking about it?
