There’s the rub: Rapha rides out the pain

London – Created to protect the skin and repair the wear and tear from riding, bicycle brand Rapha has unveiled a Performance Skincare range.

Packaged in a tough metal black tin, highlighted with Rapha’s signature pink on the outer packaging, the range includes Chamois Cream, which eliminates soreness resulting from long hours in the saddle. Winter Embrocation is key for winter riding – rubbing it on to legs warms the muscles. And hand-cut Soap is used to wash away the pain of a ride.

Ingredients are inspired by plants and herbs that grow on the slopes of Mont Ventoux, familiar to cyclists as one of the worlds toughest climbs, including Atlas cedar, lavender and rosemary. As part of the packaging, cyclists also receive a hand-drawn map of the mountain and the story of a historic race that builds on the legend of the mountain.

Rapha demonstrates that the brand doesn’t only sell cycling apparel, but the lifestyle that comes with it. Next year the range will include Shaving Cream, Lip Balm and Sunscreen.
