Philadelphia – Community connections and interaction between village residents define the new packaging for specialist roaster One Village Coffee. Using typefaces resembling doodles and handwriting, the bags of coffee, designed by Able, tell the story of the growing New Rurban sentiment LS:N Global has been tracking, as people increasingly bring elements of rural communities into our cities.
Since it was founded three years ago, One Village Coffee has contributed to several developments, including a deworming project for children in Honduras and educational work in various regions of Nigeria. ‘You’re now part of a burgeoning community – a village, if you will,’ One Village Coffee brand owners say on their website. ‘A village of growers, pickers, a roaster and drinkers.’
Look out for our forthcoming trend report on New Rurbanism, part of our autumn 2010 Trend Briefing.
