15 : 08 : 2016 Soylent : Soylent 2.0 : Nootropics

California – The nutritionally complete food brand Soylent has added a caffeinated supplement to its offering.

  • The product comprises 150mg of caffeine that has been blended with Soylent 2.0’s nutritional profile
  • The product has a rich coffee flavour, and is designed to appeal to those who want to skip the traditional breakfast

Each bottle of Coffiest contains 20% of the daily recommended values for all essential vitamins and minerals, and 75mg of L-theanine, an amino acid that promotes relaxation. The caffeine helps to boost users’ cognitive performance.

‘Breakfast sets the tone for the entire day, but busy people often skip it entirely,’ Soylent CEO and founder Rob Rhinehart said in a statement. ‘Now, with Coffiest, you can get the nutrition your body needs, enhanced with caffeine and L-theanine as mild nootropics.’

Soylent will introduce a new product category to its offer with the Soylent Bar, and for every case of Coffiest or Soylent Bar sold, Soylent will donate £0.20 ($0.25, €0.22) to the World Food Program USA.

The Big Picture

Brands are highlighting the mood- and memory-enhancing abilities of their products. See our macrotrend The Optimised Self for more on the power of nootropics.
