New York – Travellers to selected cities can now unlock curated insider content from local experts and tastemakers with digital concierge app Porter & Sail.

  • The app is a different take on the city guide concept with a more personal approach
  • Insiders are selected for their reputation and local knowledge

Porter & Sail uses curated insider knowledge from local tastemakers and experts on the ground in London, Singapore, Miami and Los Angeles. Snapping and logging the city’s most unforgettable eating, drinking, shopping and art spots, the experts add content manually to the app.

The app is available for a succinct list of lifestyle hotels, where guests can browse through the local area, read tips, reserve a table at a restaurant and call an Uber taxi. Serving content at the right place and time by aggregating the relevant data, the app automatically makes suggestions, turning the guests’ off-property experience into the hotel’s newest amenity.

‘Our curated encounters extend the hotel beyond its walls into the metropolitan landscape, transforming the guest experience both on- and off-property,’ says Caitlin Zaino, co-founder and CEO of Porter & Sail. ‘By networking the hotel with local experiences, the whole city becomes your resort.’

The Big Picture

In the spirit of Revelation Brands, people are looking to local tastemakers and experts to bring serendipity back into their lives.
