Kramerville, Johannesburg – Tattoos and alcohol don’t normally make for the best of friends, but Dakota Lee is hoping to change all that.
A temple to tattoo culture, Dakota Lee is bringing a touch of the rockabilly lifestyle to Kramerville’s up-and-coming Appel Road.
Guests will be able to enjoy drinks at a speakeasy-style bar and music from live DJs while they browse street fashion from Stache and artwork from the SA Rift Concept.
‘We wanted to create a space that would evolve over time,’ Studio A’s Tristan du Plessis tells LS:N Global. ‘The walls are covered in chalkboard paint, so the space will inevitably be covered with tattoo ideas from patrons and artists alike.’
