New York – Paintbox is a new nail salon in the heart of SoHo that offers an edited, high-fashion approach to having a manicure.
Put off by the overwhelming choice offered by most nail salons, former beauty director Eleanor Langston wanted to open a more curated, trend-led salon.
Throughout the year the salon will curate a selection of the season’s top 50 polishes and shoot a look book of seasonal designs and colour options inspired by runway and editorial trends. For spring/summer the range includes an ombre foil, a geometric cut-out pattern and a metallic embellishment.
The beautifully designed space also features a bar where customers can linger with a glass of champagne while waiting for their nails to dry. A mani-cam is also on hand for social savvy visitors to create the perfect shot for uploading to Instagram.
Carefully curated products and considered designs help beauty consumers to navigate the sometimes overwhelming beauty market. For more, read our Seed on Violet Grey, a new store in Los Angeles that curates its products based on recommendations from celebrity stylists.
