Watch that: Wrist device that motivates teens to exercise

North Brunswick, New Jersey – A motivational device for teens who are at risk of obesity has been developed.

The watch-like device motivates teens to exercise by tracking and registering physical activity. Once the user has completed 60 minutes of activity over time the S2H REPLAY generates a reward code that can be uploaded and converted into points on the company’s website.

By creating ‘a new currency of health’, Switch2Health aims to create a culture where physical activity is desirable. The issue of encouraging or ‘nudging’ healthy behaviour in consumers, and the resulting opportunities for brands, is explored in depth in our Prohibition Culture report.
