Seasoning in season: restaurant introduces herb trolley

Koedijk, the Netherlands – A Dutch restaurant has introduced an innovative herb trolley that features living plants grown in tubes.

The trolley was designed by Roland Pieter Smit for De Witte Tafel restaurant in the Netherlands. It aims to create personal contact between the chef and guests. The chef can add finishing touches to the food by using green seasoning from the trolley at guests’ tables.

This could be a further solution for consumers who wish to grow their own vegetables, an increasingly popular option in the UK, explored in our recent Insight.
