Tokyo – Fashion retailer Uniqlo has released a new audiovisual blog part that lets the brand get its name out online – while the jam is pumpin’. Uniqlo Tunes, which can be downloaded and embedded into users’ blogs and social network profiles, follows on from the wildly successful Uniqlock, which won a number of international advertising awards when it was launched last year.
While the widget comes with pre-programmed music, Uniqlo Tunes also allows users to upload their own choice of mp3 file. The sound-reactive function means that images move and change in time with the beat.
Uniqlo’s latest offering harnesses the viral potential of the web, while demonstrating the brand’s understanding of online promotion – making something that looks and sounds good makes your users look and sound good, too.
