Berlin – Andreas Nicolas Fischer’s Brute Forced Method is a series of digital sculptures captured on a computer and rendered on a 2D canvas to create still-lifes for the computer age.
Fischer created his work by testing algorithms and generating his own computer script to make CGI sculptures that are beautiful, intricate and almost delicate.
‘There are no efficient algorithms for many computer science problems. The simplest approach is to try all possible [or many] solutions until the desired outcome is reached. This is called the Brute Forced Method,’ explains the artist.
Using computers to create painterly, digital imagery is expanding the mindset of what art can mean. For more, read our Innovate on Morphopolis, a video game that is akin to a painting.
