London – Independent art and music festival Sound Tracks will bring some Conviviality Culture to the East London Line tomorrow (11 May).

Bands playing a range of music will entertain passengers on trains between Dalston and Peckham, while the Dumbshow group will provide pop-up theatre. Travellers will also be able to experience what its designers claim is ‘the world’s first augmented reality train app’, created by Saint H studio especially for the event using technology by Aurasma.

Throughout the day the convivial mood will also come off the tracks into spaces such as Dalston Oxfam shop and The Geffrye Museum garden in Hoxton. The festival will culminate with gigs at the Bussey Building in Peckham and at the Dalston Roof Park. LS:N Global particularly recommends the immersive event in an underground Victorian shaft at the Brunel Museum in Rotherhithe at 6:30pm.

Videoscapes by artists including Amelie Hegardt and Laurence Owen will be projected onto the walls of the shaft in candlelight, while four bands will give acoustic performances and cocktails will provide refreshment.
