Milan – Product designer Andrea Strata has created Perfumery Tools, a set of implements to aid the sampling and selling of perfumes.
The set consists of five tools designed to create a greater sampling experience for the customer, and drive sales.
They include the Le Petit Orgue, which enables the customer to smell essential oils commonly used in perfumes to help them decide which they like best. Les Plis is a sampling strip designed to fit around the nose, and Les Cloches is a glass concave from which to smell the perfume.
In addition, L’Helice is a fan designed to help customers experience what others around them smell when wearing the perfume and Le Flaire enables users to discover what the perfume smells like on the skin.
The designer has taken an artistic stance that turns the selling of perfume into an experience. For more on the future of beauty, read our Beauty Futures report, available in our shop.
