Seoul – Design studio Lim Tae Hee has opened a snack restaurant that draws inspiration from South Korean street vendors.
The Play Pot is designed to look like a street stall with striped sheets of tarpaulin stretched across the ceiling like a tented canopy. The rolls of tarpaulin can be rolled up to reveal shelves for pots and condiments.
Potted flowers are scattered among the furniture to add to the outdoor-indoor aesthetic.
The Play Pot is another example of a restaurant that celebrates snack food. For more on Gourmet Junk and other emerging food trends, read our Food Futures report.
