Girona – Barcelona-based studio Sandra Tarruella Interioristas has designed a theatrical interior, featuring lab-like tubes and taps to excite and engage customers at the Rocambolesc Gelateria in Girona.
Owned by Jordi Roca of the world-renowned restaurant El Cellar de Can Roca, the ice-cream parlour places a similar emphasis on the creation of sensory dining experiences.
Striped tubes, gauges and levers decorate the walls to give the feel of a laboratory which, combined with the shop’s experimental take on ice-cream, creates an energetic and inviting aesthetic.
This use of a playful interior to create an immersive dining experience is a great example of our Mad Science.
