Great Scott: Fashion's take on digital culture

New York – For his autumn/winter 2012/2013 collection at New York Fashion Week, American fashion designer Jeremy Scott referenced how, in a digital world, it is becoming increasingly difficult to delete our past online, a subject we will explore further in our forthcoming Netstalgia macrotrend.

Although its aesthetic is reminiscent of the 90s, the collection also touches on ideas about the nostalgia of a more basic, clunky and fun communication style online, using screenshots and emoticons for print inspiration, as well as incorporating 90s pop culture icons such as Bart Simpson and the Acid House Smiley Face.
