Volvo presents exhibition of safety camera photography

14 : 07 : 2017 Auto : Technology : Art

London – XC60 Moments is a collaboration between Volvo and Pulitzer Prize-winning photographer Barbara Davidson.

The exhibition comprises 30 photographs that were shot using the Volvo XC60’s on-board safety camera.

Debuting in London, the exhibition will be showcased in major cities around the world later this year. The project examines the parallels between art and safety, combining images of urban environments with the vehicle’s smart scanning technology, which enables drivers to identify hazards.

‘We take a realistic and practical approach to safety at Volvo Cars,’ says Malin Ekholm, vice-president of Volvo Cars Safety Centre. ‘Our vision is to reach a point in time where no-one is killed or seriously injured in a new Volvo car.’

As well as the camera, the XC60 boasts a range of advanced safety features including steering assist and a blind spot information system.
