Beauty Futures Network Evening 2016

03 : 06 : 2016 Beauty : Futures : 2016

London – DNA profiling, face workouts and new beauty media were on the agenda at last night’s Beauty Futures Network Evening.

Ahead of our forthcoming Beauty Futures Forum 2016, LS:N Global and The Future Laboratory welcomed members and guests to East London for an evening of roundtable discussions about all things beauty.

We welcomed Jennifer Hersch, co-founder and lead instructor at ETHOS, who spoke about her new fitness and wellness destination in Shoreditch, which uses DNA profiling to tailor workouts.

Guests also heard from award-winning perfume designer Azzi Glasser, founder of The Perfumer’s Story, which creates fragrances based on stories, characters and styles.

Maxine Leonard spoke about founding Beauty Papers, an independent beauty magazine devoid of ads, which examines personal, nuanced definitions of beauty.

With the fast, frenetic pace of the roundtable discussions in full swing, we welcomed Inge Theron, a former beauty journalist turned founder of FaceGym, which offers facial workouts designed to tackle and prevent sagging skin.

We then introduced Bethany Bolt, editorial director at Time Inc-owned Powder, a website and beauty box distributor that uses data to personalise content for its readers.

Last but by no means least, Joanna Tulej, art director at The Future Laboratory, spoke about Halt, a fictional beauty brand that asks users to embrace the feeling of sadness to encourage constructive moments of reflection.
