Craft sample

01 : 09 : 2015 33 Acres Brewing Co : Tasting Room : Craft Beer

Vancouver – To work around local licensing laws, 33 Acres Brewing Company has added a tasting room to its brewery, giving consumers a chance to sample its craft beers.

  • Beers can be sampled onsite in 6oz glasses, with larger options available
  • Sells craft beers infused with banana, caramel and grapefruit

Visitors to the 33 Acres Brewing Company brewery can buy samples of the brand’s craft beers in 6oz glasses for £1.30 (€1.77, $2). Larger glasses ranging from 10.5oz to 24oz are also available. They can also buy a 64oz growler to fill and take away, or bring their own from home.

The interior of the brewery is a departure from the typical masculine aesthetic favoured by breweries. Gender-neutral blankets of white with accents of wood and stone enable visitors to feel comfortable when sampling the many brews on offer.

The Big Picture: To help demystify craft beer, drinks brands are opening spaces where consumers can sample drinks before they buy. For another example, read our report on Brewdog’s Bottle Shop.
