Copenhagen – Designers Johannes Torpe Studios have created a convivial eatery for the paleo diner.
Through a minimalist design Johannes Torpe has created a space that keeps fuss to a minimum, reflecting the simplicity of the Paleo diet through honest materials including leather, wood and wool.
‘We wanted the interior to reflect what the food is about,’ senior designer Bjarke Vind tells LS:N Global. ‘We used natural materials and organised the interior to be like a small food theatre, where customers see everything that is going on in the kitchen and juicing station.’
Important to the concept was ‘hygge’, that quintessential Scandinavian feeling of cosiness. Palæo – Primal Gastronomy is divided into different areas for diners on the go as well as a lounge area featuring design cues from the home such as brass and marble where diners are encouraged to relax.
