Accessible beauty: Spa designed with no frills
Stockholm – The DaySpa in Stockholm is a new spa by entrepreneurs Tobias Ollén and Alexander Thorstrand, who used their backgrounds in film production and retail design to create a space that is minimalist and unfussy, without the orthodox spa design elements.

The ethos behind DaySpa’s aesthetic is accessibility and familiarity. Rather than seeing spa treatment as a luxury one-off, Ollén and Thorstrand wanted their spa to be regarded as an everyday facility. Unpretentious and no-frills plywood walls and concrete floors reflect this aesthetic in contrast with more conventional all-white, clinical spa concepts.
