New York – The new Lower East Side Hotel in New York’s Bowery district has rethought the typical guest bathroom and is creating an innovative redesign of the usual cramped hotel room space. The Lower East Side, designed by Office for Design and Architecture, is exploring the use of space within small guest rooms, and has come up with a smart solution by restructuring the bathroom and storage facilities. The shower, toilet and wardrobe have been turned into cylindrical pods rather than separate, partitioned areas, creating a room that seems rather larger than its actual dimensions.
