London – To set the mood for our Autumn/Winter 2012 Trend Briefing on The Co-commerce Revolution, LS:N Global presented a special video-synchronised performance based around the sound and image of clapping hands.
It takes two hands to clap, and increasingly, it takes two brands working together to make an impact on consumers. LS:N Global found the ideal sonic representation of this idea in Clapping Music, Steve Reich’s landmark 1972 composition for two performers.
Performers Joe Redston and Tom Troy took to the stage to accompany LS:N Global’s video of their previous performance, which featured sound design by Julian Brown. As tension built, the clapping volume receded as images representing the Co-commerce Revolution flashed across the screen.
Following the performance, delegates heard more about the major trends that will shape commerce in the coming years. The Future Poll team presented findings from the latest UK Consumer Attitudes Audit, before LS:N Global presented three new macrotrends: Symbiotic Branding, New Emerging Affluents, and Faction Marketing.
