Furillen, Sweden – At first glance, the Black Lodge may look like something out of a Grimm’s fairy tale, but in fact it’s the latest luxury accommodation by Stockholm-based architects Jägnefält Milton.
Scheduled to open in August, the triangular lodge is situated in Furillen, Sweden and is constructed from pine sourced from the surrounding woodland.
The only furniture inside is a series of wooden boards that can be used as tables, beds or benches. The wooden facade can also be folded open, exposing guests to the elements.
The Black Lodge is a perfect example of a sublime tourism space where holidaymakers can go to retreat from the world. To see more examples from across the world, read LS:N Global’s New Sublimity Tourism microtrend.
