Milan – Norwegian designer Daniel Rybakken is to show two new light installations, Ricochet Light and Coherence Light, at Milan Design Week.
The two installations are a continuation of the Colour Light and the Light Tray, which explore the motif of ‘the exploded concept of a lamp, formed not only of multiple components, but by multiple objects too’.
The Coherence Light plays with the notion of a light source, as the light comes from a bulb placed on a table, which then illuminates the interior of a dome suspended above. The Ricochet Light explores the reflection of light, using multiple reflective surfaces.
LS:N Global identified Rybakken as one to watch from last year’s Milan show. For a recap of key trends and design directions from Milan 2011, see our Part 1 and Part 2 micro Inspire reports.
