Tokyo – Health-monitoring device manufacturer Tanita has opened a new restaurant offering health and dietary advice to health-conscious customers.
Tanita Shokudo serves meals of under 500 calories, and offers diners a free consultation from a professional dietician and the use of Tanita devices to analyse their body mass index and other information relating to their fitness and wellbeing.
Scales and a timer at each table enable customers to weigh their own rice portions and check that they take no longer than the recommended 20 minutes to eat their meal.
Tanita Shokudo is a good example of a restaurant that would appeal to our Self-Quants tribe.
