New York – Hôtel Americano, the latest hotel from Mexican hotel group Grupo Habita, is due to open this spring.
The new hotel, Habita’s first outside Mexico, is in Manhattan’s Chelsea. As with the group’s previous properties, the Americano was built to reflect its surroundings, while retaining Latin influences. The exterior glass structure, encased in a metal mesh façade, was designed to reflect the industrial spirit of the surrounding area, while the Argentinian food and Bossa Nova music playing throughout the building remind guests of the group’s heritage.
After opening its first US hotel, the group plans to open others across the US and possibly Europe.
