London – British furniture manufacturer SCP has shown its latest collection at the Maison & Objet exhibition in Paris.
It included a range of playful pouffes from textile designer Donna Wilson. Called Frank, Ernest and Henry, these hand-stuffed calico bags are upholstered in segments of patterned fabric.
Lee Kirkbride uses advanced engineering to produce elegantly simple furniture. His wooden Pelutho table, made from solid ash, features a structural base with inward leaning legs, giving the rounded rectangular top a structural rigidity.
The Timberly hall rack by Rich Brilliant Willing is a wall-mounted wooden grid, with interchangeable pegs in different materials and sizes. The tactility of the piece evokes memories of childhood toys and building blocks.
Look out for our forthcoming review of Maison & Objet.
