New angle: Chandeliers form natural extension

New York – Ceres chandeliers are an angular amalgamation of the natural and the man-made by lighting designer Lindsey Adelman for New York furniture manufacturer Mattermade.

Each chandelier is fashioned from rods of glass, metal and wood. They are then embellished with hinged joints, metal thorns, hooks and a scattering of small abstract leaf details.

As we reported in our Idyllic Micro Inspire piece, designers are using rural elements such as wood and natural forms alongside luxurious materials such as brass and glass to create an aesthetic that appeals to luxury Rurban consumers.
