New York – Shoe brand Foot Locker is adding personal stories to sneakers through its soon-to-be-released Sneakerpedia.
In the same way that people can search and add information to online encyclopaedia Wikipedia, users of Sneakerpedia will be able to search for details such as the stitching of a shoe, its material and lining. It will also enable people to see what shoes that celebrities such as rapper Jay-Z are wearing.
Users can upload their own information with a photograph, a tag, a name and the personal story behind the shoe.
This is a great example of how to add personality to your brand. For more read our Brandtocracies report.
