Next-level natural

17 : 01 : 2017 Peet Rivko : Beauty : Skincare

New York – Peet Rivko is a new, pared-back, unisex skincare range for sensitive skin.

  • The line is made from plant-based, ethically sourced ingredients, and sustainably packaged
  • The range was launched as an alternative to the harsh ingredients found in other mainstream products

The Peet Rivko range comprises only three products – a calming cleanser, a moisturiser and a face oil. It was launched by its founder, Johanna Peet, as an alternative to the harsh and synthetic ingredients found in most skincare products.

When creating the formulas and the application of the finished product, keeping things minimal was key. The final blends of all three products were distilled in Los Angeles, with months spent developing a natural preservative system that would ensure a two-year shelf life.

In a recent statement, Peet explained how she is working to carve out a ‘next-level natural’ niche with her products by avoiding fragrances, common toxins, essential oils and preservatives. Peet now plans to add a face exfoliator and bodycare items to the range.

The Big Picture

Consumers are becoming increasingly aware of factors affecting the condition of their skin. As a result, brands are launching ultra-gentle products focused on skin sensitivity. For more, see our Highly Sensitive microtrend.
