21 : 12 : 2016 Gin : The Distillery : Portobello Road Gin

London – As gin’s popularity continues to grow, a new space has opened that honours all aspects of the drink from creation to consumption.

  • The Distillery includes two bars, a distillery and a boutique hotel
  • Master distiller Jake Burger will serve spirits created on-site

The four-floor distillery designed by Portobello Road Gin is the UK’s first immersive gin experience. Situated on-site is the Ginstitute, an interactive tour on which guests are relayed the history of gin before creating their own drink.

Visitors are able to enjoy the brand’s own offerings at The Resting Room, which serves a variety of gins as well as other spirits, including avocado and olive oil vodka. A Spanish-themed bar and restaurant, GinTonica, serves tapas alongside a variety of experimental gin and tonic combinations. Guests who wish to stay overnight can do so in one of three rooms, designed to capture the essence of the local area.

‘We are proud purveyors of London spirit and we look forward to exciting guests from around the globe with amazing gin and other wonderful new distillates and aged spirits,’ says Ged Feltham, founder of Portobello Road Gin and The Distillery.
