US – Digital marketing agency 360i has created a hyper-interactive recruitment website designed to appeal to members of Gen Viz.

  • Visitors navigate a 3D office environment and observe digital avatars inspired by 360i staff members as they work and play
  • The highly visual, gamified experience was designed using the WebGL application program interface and the open-source 3D video game engine Play Canvas

Potential recruits can explore 14 departments that feature staff engaging in weird and wonderful behaviour to communicate the company’s work-hard, play-hard mentality.

Influencer Marketing appears to employ a hot dog that operates a switchboard while smoking a cigarette, while the Data Science and Advanced Analytics teams spend most of their time looking into crystal balls. ‘360i is truly powered by curiosity, so this appreciation for discovery became the cornerstone of the entire concept,’ Katrina Cabrera, senior director or PR and marketing at 360i, tells LS:N Global.

The company aims to encourage potential candidates to actively engage with its recruitment process rather than passively scroll through its job listings. ‘We created intricate characters and props that were modelled on insights and ideas gathered from each department,’ explains Cabrera. Whether the physical office contains trampolines, DJs or hot dog employees remains to be seen.

The Big Picture

Members of Gen Viz look for entertaining content that they can swipe and click through. To engage with this rising consumer group, brands must design highly visual and engaging gamified experiences.
