Boston – The Kuvée wine bottle is providing wine connoisseurs with a smarter way to drink.
Kuvée is providing a solution to a problem that has plagued wine-drinkers for centuries – how to prevent opened bottles from going off.
The smart bottle features a special canister system that automatically seals the bottle after pouring to keep the wine fresh for up to thirty days. A touch screen displays information about the wine, including its producers and place of origin, and recommends food pairings.
The dispenser is connected to the Internet of Things and enables users to rate the wine and order more from the Kuvée online store.
The world is increasingly connected to the Internet of Things and consumers are now more able than ever before to purchase at the point of inspiration. For more on how connected commerce is coming to a home near you, watch our interview with Betty DeVita, chief commercial officer at MasterCard Labs.
