Amsterdam – A newly opened floating hotel is offering training to 100 long-term unemployed locals to help them gain the skills they need to pursue a career in the hospitality industry.
Working alongside partners, including the Municipality of Amsterdam, HotelSchool The Hague and recruitment agency Randstad, Good Hotel will provide 100 locals with three months' hospitality training during its year-long mooring in Amsterdam.
On completion of the training programme, participants will then be given a three-month contract working at Good Hotel Amsterdam, before it floats to its permanent residence in Rio de Janeiro in 2016.
