LS:N Global in conversation with Get the Gloss founder Susana Taylor at Beauty Futures Network Evening 2015

London – LS:N Global caught up with Get the Gloss founder and editor-in-chief Susannah Taylor to talk about building a health and beauty website in the age of the vlogger.

  • Get the Gloss is a multimedia platform that shares tips and advice on the latest in beauty and health
  • ‘While vloggers have a huge place in the industry they don’t have the knowledge or experience I’ve had with all of these amazing experts over the years’ – Taylor

Speaking to LS:N Global senior journalist Rowland Manthorpe at this year’s Beauty Futures Network Evening, Taylor explained the way that social media has changed the industry for ever.

Beauty brands have been slow to emerge from behind the filtered lens of Photoshop, but are now embracing social media and are starting to tap into the visual language and harness the online influence of the customers themselves.

‘Vloggers say what they like and that puts the fear of god into some of the brand owners, and that’s a really good thing,’ said Taylor.

Get the Gloss combines this uncompromising truthfulness with the authority and expertise that years in the industry have given Taylor, providing readers and viewers with a valuable added layer of insight.
