Shake your rump: Butcher gets a new look

Austin – A local butcher shop has been given an identity fit for today’s consumer. The Chop Shop, a neighbourhood meat market in Kansas City, Missouri, has received a new identity created by graphic design agency Ptarmak, featuring simple, old-fashioned design cues such as brown paper packages, handwritten receipts and tear-off queue tickets.

As consumers turn to locally sourced food by choosing ‘simple but perfect’ ingredients – see our report on Food Trends for more – butcher-bought meat is on the increase. Packaging that fits in with the expectations of today’s foodists will be sure to please.
