The flexible office space is becoming increasingly important in the Bleisure age, as companies aim to create spaces that are simple, inspiring and efficient.
However, turning these offices into genuinely creative places goes beyond merely littering them with clichéd designer sofas and vinyl toys. DGI-byen, a conference and hotel centre in Copenhagen, Denmark, has transformed one of its meeting rooms into a creative space with the use of flexible dividers and walls. Designed by the Hvass&Hannibal design studio, the dividing pieces are made from variously sized and coloured boxes on wheels. In addition, the walls and tables feature mountain designs, an element that seeks to strike a balance between indoor and outdoor scenery.
Similarly, the Steelcase Solutions studio in Strasbourg have been designing innovative office and work solutions to maximise creativity within this Bleisure age.
