Miami – Champagne house Perrier-Jouët has unveiled Lost Time, an Art Nouveau-inspired installation at Design Miami/.
Glithero, the London design team of Sarah van Gameren and Tim Simpson, were inspired by the methods used by architect Antoni Gaudí, who created arches for his Sagrada Família cathedral based on inverting the shapes created by hanging weights.
For the installation, designed to look like a wine cellar, strands of beads recall the path of a champagne bubble or drops of dew on a spider’s web, while a pool offers a chance to reflect on timelessness. Perrier-Jouët has taken inspiration from the organic forms of Art Nouveau since its early days, including the floral designs for the brand’s signature Belle Époque cuvée bottle.
The installation is part of a continuing partnership between Perrier-Jouët and Design Miami/, where the brand is the official champagne sponsor.
