New York – Cosmetic Executive Women (CEW), the non-profit-making beauty professionals organisation, has hosted its first Future Focus summit in New York, featuring distinguished thought-leaders from both sides of the Atlantic in an exploration of the future of beauty.
CEW invited members and non-members to attend talks from Boston Consulting Group and The Future Laboratory covering all facets of the industry, both from a consumer’s and an insider’s perspective.
LS:N Global editor Lucie Greene presented Beauty: The New Age, in which she examined the shift in perceptions of age in the beauty industry, drawing on LS:N Global’s most recent research from our Spring/Summer 2014 Trend Briefing. Cathrin Bowtell and Sarah Willersdorf of Boston Consulting Group spoke on the skill sets needed to foster innovation in the beauty sector.
Since it was founded in 1954, CEW has created a community for beauty industry professionals. It now has more than 5,000 members, including many of the biggest brands in the industry, and offers professional development, insights and industry awards.
