Hear this: Mobile accessories focus on style

Paris – French designer Ora-ïto has collaborated with textile manufacturer Kvadrat to create a range of mobile accessories, with a couture aesthetic inspired by Italian furniture.

The Ora-ïto Mobility line, which includes headphones, smartphone cases and USB cables, acknowledges how technology has integrated itself deeply into people’s lives without giving in to the gizmo look. Instead, the accessories are rooted in design, with form and functionality blending seamlessly together.

‘With the Ora-ïto collection you will no longer resemble a robot, nor will you have the impression of wearing a motorcycle helmet on your head,’ says the designer.

As technology becomes increasingly pervasive in our lives, designers are seeking ways to integrate it more beautifully as an extension of the human body. For more, see our Kaizen Living design direction.

The accessories are available exclusively at French department store Colette.
