US – Anyone familiar with railway station vending machines knows that automated coffee remains a work in progress. A partnership between US coffee brand Briggo# and designer Yves Béhar’s Fuseproject studio offers a solution.
The Coffee Haus smart kiosk lets smartphone users take charge of the entire process. Customers can order a coffee, specify a delivery time – the system sends a text when the drink is ready – and offer feedback afterwards. By making adjustments via an app or on a website, customers can gradually arrive at their perfect cup, which will then be ready to collect from any Coffee Haus anywhere in the world.
Wood veneers and retro branding give the Coffee Haus a warm, friendly feel. Like innovators Nendo, Briggo is trying to make drinking coffee relaxing and contemplative using Check-in Commerce to make consumers’ lives easier without removing the human element.
