Shanghai – The latest addition to the JIA collection of boutique hotels and restaurants, MATTO Bar and Pizzeria, has opened in Shanghai.
The restaurant, designed by Darryl Goveas, takes visual cues from rustic Italian interiors and mixes these with industrial elements, such as concrete walls and a tin ceiling, along with wood.
In addition, hand-sketched art and typography is scribbled across the restaurant’s walls, giving the space a sense of playfulness.
