Berlin – Gabi is a new app that re-imagines Facebook’s cluttered user interface, making it more accessible for smartphone users.
Created by the Berlin-based duo Gabriel Palomino and Stefanie Hoffmann, Gabi filters and sorts through the user’s Facebook content and converts it into simple stats and images.
When activating the app, a user can select the latest photos, videos, status updates, links, events and places and, with the swipe of a finger, can browse through the most popular content being posted on the social network.
The simplicity of Gabi is similar to that of Octofeed, a website that restyles the Facebook newsfeed into a minimal, easy-to-read interface. Both sites are a great example of how to combat stuffocation. To find out more, read LS:N Global’s Intuitive Futures macrotrend.
